Problem:
The client – An office equipment & solutions company, ran promotional campaign in one market for a period of one year and noticed that the campaign was very successful in generating incremental leads. This market was termed as ‘Ideal Market’.
The client planned on implementing a similar campaign in other new markets (candidate markets) and wanted to identify which new markets were similar to the ideal market.
With the limited budget at hand, they wanted to understand which new markets could be targeted which were similar to the market in which the campaign was a success.
Solution:
- Dynamic Time Warping algorithm was applied to understand which ‘Candidate Markets’ were similar in behaviour to the ‘Ideal Market’.
